De kilometers gaan beter, het tempo voelt goed\u2026 en dan komt het. Een stekende, zeurende pijn aan de buitenkant van je knie. Eerst alleen tijdens het lopen, later soms al bij de eerste stappen. Even rust helpt, maar zodra je weer begint, is de pijn terug.<br>Dit is wat we vaak een <strong>lopersknie<\/strong> noemen, ook wel <strong>Iliotibiaal Bandsyndroom (ITBS)<\/strong>. De structuren rondom de knie kunnen de herhaalde belasting tijdelijk niet meer goed verwerken.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1590\">Bij deze klacht raakt de <strong data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1394\">iliotibiale band<\/strong> ge\u00efrriteerd. Dit is een stevige peesplaat die langs de buitenzijde van je bovenbeen loopt, van je heup tot net onder de knie. Tijdens het hardlopen helpt deze band bij de stabiliteit van je knie.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1592\" data-end=\"1892\">Wanneer de belasting te snel oploopt, kan er wrijving en druk ontstaan aan de buitenzijde van de knie. Dit veroorzaakt die herkenbare pijn, vaak bij een buighoek van de knie tijdens het lopen. De pijn verdwijnt meestal snel met rust, maar komt vrijwel altijd terug zodra je het hardlopen weer oppakt.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1894\" data-end=\"1997\">Een lopersknie is \u00e9\u00e9n van de <strong data-start=\"1923\" data-end=\"1962\">meest voorkomende hardloopblessures<\/strong> die wij in de praktijk behandelen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2062\">Veelvoorkomende factoren die bijdragen aan een lopersknie zijn:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2291\">\n<li data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2111\">\n<p data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2111\">Een te snelle opbouw van kilometers of tempo<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2158\">\n<p data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2158\">Veel heuvels, trappen of aflopende stukken<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2159\" data-end=\"2208\">\n<p data-start=\"2161\" data-end=\"2208\">Lopen op smalle paadjes of met een smalle pas<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2209\" data-end=\"2248\">\n<p data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2248\">Verminderde heup- en bilspierkracht<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2291\">\n<p data-start=\"2251\" data-end=\"2291\">Inzakken van de heup tijdens het lopen<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2293\" data-end=\"2400\">Er hoeft g\u00e9\u00e9n schade of scheurtje aanwezig te zijn. De knie is niet \u201ckapot\u201d, maar <strong data-start=\"2375\" data-end=\"2399\">overbelast geraakt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2402\" data-end=\"2555\">\ud83d\udc49 Twijfel je of dit een lopersknie is en wil je weten wat jij nu het beste kunt doen? Doorlopen op pijn verergert de klachten. Volledige rust is echter ook geen oplossing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2758\" data-end=\"2785\"><em>Relatieve rust<\/em> werkt beter:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2903\">\n<li data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2822\">\n<p data-start=\"2788\" data-end=\"2822\">Verminder pijnlijke activiteiten<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2823\" data-end=\"2903\">\n<p data-start=\"2825\" data-end=\"2903\">Blijf wel bewegen met alternatieven zoals fietsen, zwemmen of krachttraining<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2905\" data-end=\"3082\">Alleen rust nemen lijkt logisch, maar pakt de oorzaak meestal niet aan. Veel lopers voelen zich na rust tijdelijk beter, bouwen weer op en belanden opnieuw in dezelfde klachten.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3084\" data-end=\"3129\"><strong>Gerichte fysiotherapie maakt het verschil<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bij FYSIOPLAN begeleiden we dagelijks hardlopers met een lopersknie. Hierbij is het belangrijk dat kracht, stabiliteit en loopbelasting goed op elkaar worden afgestemd.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4337\" data-end=\"4553\">Heb je al langere tijd klachten of blijven ze terugkomen, dan kan het herstel <strong data-start=\"4415\" data-end=\"4434\">2 tot 3 maanden<\/strong> duren. In dat geval is begeleiding belangrijk om te voorkomen dat je blijft hangen in een cyclus van rust en terugval.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4555\" data-end=\"4696\">Merk je dat de pijn niet afneemt of twijfel je over je herstel?
